Oh, Jesus possible existent Christ, don't take limnology. I'm assuming you need some sort of lab requirement in the biological sciences, right? Take the Companion Animals class in Animal Science, better known as "Pet the Puppy". Sari can support me on this. Otherwise, if that doesn't have a lab, take the basic geology class that does, a.k.a., "rocks for jocks". That way, you have more time to hang out with your bito! Okay, you probably actually want to learn something, so just disregard everything that I just printed. Take whatever you want, man. Although, if you want to take Bacteriology 527, I do have the course lab packet, fresh out of the packet. Mmm...smells like learning...

Oh, wait! Okay, so the last post was in jest, but I will now seriously advise against taking a lab course involving field trips. They usually involve far too great of a time commitment, and far too strenuous an analysis for the report.

uh.....seeing as classes start this friday, i'm gonna be pretty hard-pressed to get into another class that fufills that specific requirement for me....unless someone knows of another class that fufills my "C" req. for the bio major........

Steph,

I did not have Dodson as my professor. Emily Stanly, Jake Vander Zanden, and some other dude were my professors. I had such a great time in that class. My professors did require us to buy the book. If you want to save some money, Birge library has two copies you can check out, but you can't take it home. It must be checked out and stay in the library.

Cailin Orr was the nicest down to earth TA I ever had, which was good because Sherry was hardcore. Then again my Zoology TA from sophomore year (what's her name araby?) was awesome too. Whatever you do, you must get her. If you put the time of getting to know her, she will really help you get through the class, at least the lab part. Are you taking the lab also? You should because it will really help you reinforce the lecture material. However, the lab portion requires a lot of time and writing, but I thought it was worth it. You get to go on Lake Mendota and then to Trout Lake Station for the weekend. It was really a worth while class, especially for your last semester.

I will try to hunt down my lecture notes and exams for you. Remember, you must get Cailin Orr for you lab TA or at least go to her TA hours if she is TAing the course. Good luck.

Steph,

I meant to say that my professors did not require us to buy the book. Our lectures were enough to get by for the exams.

Steph,

Cailin is no longer there. She finally got her PH.D and according to her link, she is now teaching at UNC-Chapel Hill.
