Welcome to LOTW.
Unless you're a spam commenter--then you're not welcome.
This blog is a forum for me and my friends and my friends' friends to talk about work and school and life in general, and to keep in touch as we cast our shadows across the globe.
ha ha ha.....little do you know that your site is being secretly checked by the....dun-dun-DUN...Scotland Blog Squad!
.....so.....anyways, I just read your last comments on my blog, and don't worry, I've already got my absentee ballot...now all I need is a #2 pencil...
seriously, though, it's really interesting to be over here and talk to international people about american politics. With the voter turnout we've been having lately(like the last election), sometimes it seems like people over here care more about american politics then people in america.
Did you know that when 9/11 happened, within hours of the crashes, people in Italy knew what was happening and were responding to it? Silvia was telling me about it...I didn't realize how much of an impact that had in nations other then the u.s.(not including all the iraq/afgan. stuff)
Anyways, almost all of my classes make references to the U.S. when talking about whatever subject matter. It's really great to be able to see America from outside the box.
here there is an event called "Dumb Tuesdays"--it's a quiz night at the student union which is advertised on fliers every week. The flier consists of a photo of good-ole-bush sitting at his chair in the oval office with his hands crossed. "Dumb Tuesdays" is printed clearly underneath his face. I've got a flier as a souvenir, and now that I'm thinking about it, I'll grab one for you if you like.
hu-rah for vegetables. I've been eating more fruits and veggies since i've been here, and i must say its a good thing.
now, jess, i don't think it's possible for you to have a badder ass then ever, b/c last i was in the u.s., you had the baddest ass of all....bad...asses.
lol i guess you're right. I remember a certain day when, while doing my business in the bathroom at 2525 Old University Ave, I had such bad ass that my fingers and toes started going numb . . .
